Tomorrow, our annual Gary Basketball Tournament begins! The concession stand will be open all day, so Elementary and Secondary students be sure to bring money if you would like to help out the Class of 2026! The Gary boys team will play at 9:15AM in the HS Gym and the Gary girls team will play at 10:30AM in the HS Gym if you would like to come out and cheer on our athletes!
A “Greenhand” is a first year member of any FFA Chapter. Gary FFA had 21 “Greenhands” this year in Ms. Shadix’ Principles of Agriculture classes.
The Greenhand year for a student is extremely important! Students begin their journey through FFA by learning about the opportunities, awards and scholarships they can work through by being “active members”- which means they participate in various activities like: Leadership Development Events, Career Development Events, Animal Projects, Ag Mechanics projects and much more!
We are excited about the future for these students through Gary FFA!
The Elementary Student Lighthouse Team participated in the 2nd Annual Gary Parade on Dec. 2 and in the Carthage Parade on Dec. 4. The float, decorated by Liza Woodfin, won 3rd place in the Carthage Parade. Way to go Liza!! Thank you to all the parents for letting your student participate in one or both parades. Without all of your support, events like this would not be such a success.

Ms. Shadix' Floral Design classes will begin the construction of Homecoming Mums and Garters as soon as they receive orders! If you would like to order, please fill out a form (one form per mum/garter) and send the form and payment with your child by 12/1.
Orders will be processed in the order that they are received, some ribbon and options are limited, so get those orders in quickly!

Our Thanksgiving Feast days were a blast! Thank you to all of the parents that came out and joined their kids during these two days! Also, we want to say a huge thank you to our cafeteria staff, who worked extremely hard this last week to prepare for the event!
