We had a lot of amazing Barbies and Kens today, and pictures will be posted soon! Tomorrow is Construction Worker Day, as well as the 8th grade field trip to Panola College. We ask that if 8th graders wish to participate in the dress up to wear regular clothes for the field trip and change once we return!
Don't forget, Friday is our Costume Contest, and is a half day for all students!
Speaking of 8th grade, they have a really spooky haunted trail that begins this Thursday at 6:30PM and this all leads up to our Halloween Carnival this Saturday at 6PM! We look forward to everyone coming out and supporting our classes!

We hope everyone had a great Fall Break and is ready to start our Halloween festivities this week! Our secondary classes will be offering morning sales in the Elementary parking lot starting tomorrow, and our first Red Ribbon dress up day is Barbie vs Ken, we can’t wait to see how everyone dresses up!

Gary ISD Family and Friends,
We understand that pets are an important part of our lives. However, pets can become uneasy when placed in a different environment, thus creating a potential risk. For safety reasons, animals (except for Service Animals), are not allowed on Gary ISD property during school hours and/or school events.
Thank you,
Gary ISD Administration

Parents, we apologize for the inconvenience but Williams street, from the playground to the front of the high school, will be closed due to construction today and tomorrow. To accommodate for traffic, high school student drivers and all bus riders will be released at 3:20. Car riders will be released at their normal time. Please refer to the Elementary and High School maps for instructions on how to navigate the road closure!

Parents, just a reminder that Fall Picture Day is tomorrow! You can use the order form passed out to students or go online to purchase your pictures!

Monse Chavez competed at the Heart of Texas Livestock Show with her Wether Doe Goat and came away with RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION OVERALL after winning her class and then Heavy Weight Champion! There were hundreds of goats at this show and being reserve means she was 2nd OVERALL out of every single one of them!
This goat was raised by Monse’s family, T4 Livestock, making this accomplishment extremely meaningful!
GREAT JOB MONSE!
Gary 4-H & Gary FFA members are traveling all over the state and country exhibiting their livestock as the tradition of competition continues! Competition at the state level is extremely difficult and our students are having great success!
Gary 4-H & FFA families, if you have any pictures or information you would like shared for the public, please email those to Jessica Shadix, jshadix@garyisd.net with the information!
