Our Gary FFA Officers have been busy this summer planning for the upcoming school year.
District Leadership Camp is held each year for the 23 schools in our Longview FFA District. FFA Districts and Areas are based on location and not the size of the school. For example, Gary FFA had 60 FFA Members this past year and Longview FFA (the 6th largest program in the State of Texas), had 694 FFA Members and in all competitions at the district level the two compete against each other.
This camp was a day of learning, building leadership skills, and personal growth for our officers. They attended sessions led by other students, participated in a community service project and had “contests” against the other 23 schools in our district. They WON two of the 6 contests of the day!!
Our officers are ready to lead and serve our chapter for the upcoming year!
